Cactus Moon is a western psych folk band based out of Boise, Idaho, conjuring a modern spaghetti western atmosphere with memorable pop hooks and folky instrumentals, for a sound that has been called “radiant” and “striking” by Rotate Magazine and “Catchy, cinematic, and dripping with retro-folk swagger” by Melodrift.com.
Their debut album Day for Night is an 8-track journey leaning into the doubts, tensions, and quiet desires we carry inside, while expanding outward like a vast Western sky over the open prairie. With a genre-bending sound that evokes the melodious folk jams you might hear while frequenting the corner saloon on a full moon night, Cactus Moon invites listeners into an irresistible world that feels both familiar and just a little bit surreal.
